The fund employs long/short strategy to create its portfolio. It takes long positions to invest in U.S. investment grade, fixed income securities market and is comprised of U.S. treasuries and government-related bonds, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed pass-through securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities and asset-backed securities. The fund takes short positions to invest directly and through derivatives such as futures in U.S. treasuries that seek to correspond to a duration exposure exceeding the duration of the long portfolio, with a targeted total duration of zero years. It seeks to track the performance of the Bloomberg Rate Hedged U.S. Aggregate Bond Index, Zero Duration, by using representative sampling technique.
